Game 31: Uggla comes through in the eighth for 3-1 win

I didn’t get to watch a lot of this game because of the Hawks and my Mom watching Glee, but I didn’t have to watch to see that Randall Delgado had his stuff working. He followed up an eight-inning outing against Philadelphia last week by throwing 5 2/3 innings, allowing just one run and three hits. Dan Uggla hit a two-run single in the eighth off of Kerry Wood, who couldn’t find the strike zone for most of his outing. Fangraphs WPA chart and game links below…

Mark Bowman of MLB.com credits Dan Uggla with the win.

So does Dave O’Brien of the AJC, who also has the postgame quotes.

The Chicago Sun-Times puts the blame on Kerry Wood.
